chickwithwings was lots of fun, and I'm glad I decided to give her a ride.
violetflux made it to the SGLA gift exchange, and her and her friends kept me entertained all night. If all goes according to plan, both of those friends will be on SG soon.
TheSeadog brought me the new Dawn of the Dead on dvd, so even... Read More
I had prior engagements so I couldnt go but it sounds like I missed one hell of a good time. Me likes the new profile pic. And the pix from the party are SO cute, especially of Violetflux.
So much to do. I'm about to run over to Best Buy and pick up a gift for the SGLA Gift Exchange tonight, and follow that up with some lunch. I have to wrap that present, too. I've got to clean out my car because I'll be giving chickwithwings a ride to the event, and she'll need somewhere to sit. I coordinated with violetflux already,... Read More
update: I can't seem to get the photos from my camera onto my machine. Plug and Play my a.... wait, I didn't say that. I don't have time to mess with it before I leave, so i'll try and get it running on Ellen's machine tonight when I get home.
I dreamt of zombies again. Lots of zombies. A world o' zombies. Lucky for me they were the old skool shambling kind, and not the new breed of hyper kung-fu zombies (ala House of the Dead, the new Dawn of the Dead, and 28 Days Later). The sad part was my friend Cira was a zombie, and I had to use my friend Gonzo as... Read More
The Apocalypse was great fun. I met Shalome, bean, reprobate, and several other SGLA members. Favorite part of the night:
shalome: He just kicked my ass
reprobate: No, I kneed you in the ass
me: What did you just say?!
Reprobate: I kneed her in the ass
grins and subdued laughter all around
The "industrial" dj also played Nightmare by... Read More
Well it's been two days and the "Post You Number" thread is still alive, sort of. It seems to have reached a stage of becoming insular. The first night was awesome when it was a bunch of random fuckbags calling each other to say hello, and trying to put voices to the words we see on the screen. I'm watching to see how far it... I've got this project in mind. I think I'll call it an art project to make it sound, you know, important. Before I lay out the idea around the project itself, here's a little background.
When I was 15 I rread Stranger in a Strange Land by Robert Heinlein. From this book I got the idea of an art project involving a series of events/emotions/thoughts arranged... Read More
Goddamn cable modem went down again this weekend. Another 2 days without SG. What did I miss?!
To pass the time I bought myself Half Life 2, and man has it fulfilled that mission. I almost missed the Skinny Puppy shows so I could stay home and kill aliens. Almost, but not quite. I made it to both shows, both of which were a little... Read More
Well, of course my take on the WTO is that it's awful.. Yeah.. um, cool. Actually, ironic tradgedy, like I said, is more like it.. It can only stand to hurt the American people, not the bureaucrats that fed the WTO/neocolonialism machine.. I guess it's some sort of false justice, kind of like capital punishment, I suppose.. I'm really not sure exactly what to make of it, yet, either.. I suppose it would be good if it made the WTO less powerful, and America for that matter, but I'm not sure if that will end up being the case..
I hear what you mean about music.. Maybe I was asking if there was any music that is universal or multifaceted enough to never get sick of.. The song I mentioned is, well.. extramundane. transcendental.. Something. I just don't think I could ever get sick of it.
Thanksgiving did not go as expected. The plan had been to go my uncle Tom's (yes, I have an uncle Tom. Feel free to snicker) and have dinner with the family. I'm not fond of my uncle, but I'll give him this - that fucker can cook. Unfortunately, he's a conservative republican, and loves to remind me and my mother of that every time we... Read More
