2006 is almost over, and I can hardly wait. This year was the suckiest suck that ever sucked. Seriously, I hope I never see its like ever again.

If I learned anything from this year, it would be that there are worse things than being broken, and that's being broken and alone. I've felt broken for over a third of my life now, but I dealt with the help of friends, family, things to do, and places to go. Take away social connectivity from the equation, and there is a level of hell only seen by patients in nursing homes, and the folks who get paid to pretend to take care of them.

That paragraph should tell you something about what kind of year 2006 was for me. I expect 2007 to be different. I'll be reconnecting myself to the great social organism. I'm taking one step in that direction by renewing my subscription to this fine website. Many things have been said about it, good and bad, but in my own experience it's a fine way to send and recieve text from people all over the globe, several of which I have found to be decent and fun people.
