I had a crush on a girl, but she's gone now.
Not gone in any permanent, shallow grave kind of sense, but gone in that infinitely more frustrating probably out of my life forever, but still out there somewhere sense.
Her name was Alexandra. She's a dialysis tech, and she is obsessed with zombies. If you know me, you know that says it all right there. Add to that delightful mixture of skills and interests that she's a smart ass with a deviant sense of humor who doesn't take shit from people (even sick people), and you have an idea of the woman of my dreams.
Well she got transfered to another dialysis unit last week. Tonight she showed up to perform her last shift at the location I go to. She gave me back my copy of The Zombie Survival Guide, and we talked about zombie movies, survival, and fun practical jokes to play on dialysis techs.
Talking to her was the best part of dialysis, and I'm a little sad she's gone.
