So. SARStock (which is the worst name I've ever heard for an event) was a lot of fun. I'm trying to get over my moral dilemma around the world helping out Canada during it's rough time when all the other areas affected don't warrant such attention.

Even though, having these opinions are sort of hypocritical since I did, you know, attend the concert.

In any...

haha I am sooooo with you on the 'SARStock' thing... that is the stupidest name for it... I just call it what it is "the SARS benefit concert" sounds better. Anyway I didn't go... I just can't handle being trapped in the sun all day... besides, uh... I don't think I would have had much luck getting a hotel in the GTO, what with all the people from out of town. One thing that bothered me about the whole security situation, even though I was not there: why was it okay for the 'pilgrims' to camp out at the same site for the Pope at 'World Youth Day' last year but they were apparently giving people a hard time for camping out prior to the concert? Seems like a double standard there.... and just so ya know my op' on the Pope... he is the anti-christ puke but anyway, so glad you had fun at the shew. I really will have to make it to Toronto one of these days and if I ever do get plans you'll be the first to know... I really wanna hang out sometime. Been thinking about a trip to the zoo though... I actually feel very weird morally about that one, but I do know that there are CABA meetings there, maybe I'll plan around one of those, they send me a newsletter every now and then via e-mail. I found out about CABA at a lecture by Jane Goodall a couple years ago.... she even sighed my copy of through a window; my 30 years in Gombe. Also she posed for a pic with my group... ah off on a tangent here.

I thought "Practical Demonkeeping" was fantastic. Biting and very, very humourous. I recommend it.

I'm actually not that new to SG. I was on last year for a while and met a few of the TO crew when we went to see "Bowling for Columbine." Lots o' fun for all. See you around.

my wife is my favorite suicidegirl too!

On a recommendation I picked-up Lamb by Christopher Moore and wow.

It's not only funny as hell (I mean, really funny. I was actually laughing out loud on the bus the other day.) but the theology and brazen poke at conventional "history" (in quotes because historical references to religious figures are always questionable given the enormous bias usually associated with the writer's motives.) is...

For someone who spends nearly all her time writing essays, my journal entries are appallingly unintelligible, so something as small as that certainly isn't a big deal.
Thanks for your advice. smile

Silliness is grand.

I've decided to take myself and the world a little less seriously and try to admire it for the sheer ludicrous mass of rock and soft matter that it truly is.

I mean, they now estimate that there are over 70 sextillion stars in our known universe.

That's more than the all the grains of sand on all the beaches in the...

Deja-vu.
samskara:
Deja-vu.
gotham2:
i once read a possible explanation for deja-vu being something about a moment that skips over the short-term memory and goes straight to long-term and then back through the short-term, so that it instantly gives you the feeling like it's happened before. (of course there the theory was much more elaborate and contained bigger words, but you get the idea right?)

biting...well, now that you mention it....

I have an awful lot of stuff that I need to get rid of. (books, cd's, furniture etc.)

I think I'm going to setup a garage sale of sorts, but I don't really care about the money. If anyone wants anything and if there's any chance I have it (and want to be rid of it) it's yours.

Only caveat is that if shipping is...

Blargh.

Another blasted Mon. morning. Work issues abound (just like last week) which promises another god-awful time of it.

I need a new job. A new location. A new outlook.

To strike down.
Believe. Run around a little.
You never can tell, really. It could be tomorrow, or around the next fork in the road, but something, somewhere...

It's not for you though.

For you is strength. For you is passion. For you is fearful thoughts shrouded in calm waves of obedience.

For you is nothing. Nothing is beautiful.

So, it's now 1:30pm on Thursday.

This means that I've been working for 30 hours straight. Surprisingly enough, I'm not that tired even though I know I should be.

It's weird how 2nd/3rd winds work that way. Even though this is probably my 30th or so.

Worse part about this is that even after I'm finished I stil lcan't sleep. I have to go out...

just looking in on you and saying...hi.

i think i bottom out after a dozen winds...and i'm running on my fourth or fifth at the moment. i actually prefer that type of energy to most others. it makes me wildly delirious and often adds a dream-like quality to my vision.

enjoy a drink for me...you're so fucking awesome...

Thanks for the email. I should have a phone and hopefully internet back starting tomorrow........it`s been a very bad day but i`m trying to not let it get to me. On a general basis i`d say i`m around a 6 1/2, which is up from a few weeks ago.
I`m tired of the struggle.

It's Sunday night. It can only mean that my holiday has come to an end.

How bloody depressing is that.

Sigh.

I freakin' hate the saying:

'All good things must come to pass.'

Whoever came up with that should be ashamed of themselves.

I miss the west coast. For numerous reasons, but here's a few:

- The weather. My god, the weather. It was so mild, relaxing. Compared to the smog-filled skies of Toronto (cough, cough) it truly is a breath of fresh air.
