I needed a mental health day and went out to a friends farm to give him a hand and wack a few groundhogs if the opportunity presented itself. We got his hay bailer running. that thing is from the 40's but it works as good if not better than anything newer. the style of starter is a weighted handwheel it's not even a pull chord its that old of a design. Every time I spun it it felt like I was going to loose a finger it's that sketchy.
We cleaned all the dirt out of the fuel system, put in a new spark plug and BAM it runs like a champ. My buddy now has 74 hay bails inside the barn. there would have been 75 but his horse snagged one, seriously.
We were standing there feeling good because we got something done and he said you brought your rifle right? YUP. looked out into the field and right were we had been 6 groundhogs. I finally got to use my AR on some groundhogs. I whacked 3 in about 3 seconds. My buddy said to me good shooting but you missed 3, never happy.
I'll call today a good day.
