We have a project that requires 3D modeling and since I'm a little slow at work I've been practicing with the program, learning as much as I can before it gets rolling. I did a layout of an office space that we were going to move into. Using another program for the office furniture I was able to lay it out properly, when i did the lighting calculations I was able to get a really accurate model of the area.
I showed my boss what I've been working on and he was really impressed. We had been sending work like this to another office and now it looks like we will be doing it in house from now on.
It feels good to be useful.
