I am an educated man I can pretty much design a wastewater treatment plant, build you a house, and fix your car but trying to write a note in a birthday card to the girl has got to be the most intimidating thing. It would help if she wasn't an english major, librarian, and a published poet. four days of staring at the card the only thing I could come up with was "You are my friend and I love you Happy Birthday".

Next year I'm going to just build her a house it seems less daunting than poetry.
