Hello SG friends and neighbors,
I hope this finds you well and good.
You might have noticed that I havent been on lately. Very sorry, miss you and all the SG fun.
What happened: my book series has been picked up by a new publisher! This is good news . . . for the long term. In the short term it means a very harsh, very quickly approaching deadline that I have to keep after. So Im up writing early, going to my shit day job, coming home, feeding myself and writing some more.
Which isnt bad . . . in fact its fine!
Other things in my life are not so good. Ive got money problems, car problems, work problems and all of these things are stressing me and Maya out and giving us relationship problems. We are both doing our best to keep strong and together but its hard.
I hope you have a good relationship with your family. Maya, sometimes its hard for her. I have a great relationship with my folks, Maya not so much. There good people and they all love each other but sometimes thats not enough, knowhatimsayin?
Anyway I feel guilty even spending this much time on the superfluous. I love you, SG, and miss you. Swear Ill be on more after I hit this next deadline. At least for a while.
take it light,

Taoist thought of the day: Water: cool, groovy, sexy, refreshing, dynamic, unstoppable. We will rock you!
Cat report: I got up at four thirty this morning to get a nice, long Sunday writing session in. And the dog wouldnt stop staring at me. It just stared. I let it out, twice. I made sure it had food. I changed its water. I petted him, and told him that life was good and dogs were the coolest. And went back to writing . . . .and the dog stared. It was making me nuts. I ignored it, I got mad, I stomped my foot. It just stared. I finally yelled which woke up Maya, who yelled at me, and today (her frickin birthday, not that we have money to really do anything about it) stared off on a truly discordant note. BTW, now the dog is staring at Maya.
Factoid: I love cookies. Everyone loves cookies, but Im like a goon for them. Mr. Tattoo says that if he were my super villain arch-nemesis he would bring cookies along with him on crimes to distract me while he escaped. It would probably work every time, if they were good cookies.
Currently digging: HP Lovecraft, Sirus Radio station The Vault, David Bowie, Rob Zombie movies, old friends, the Tao
