Lazy Sunday.
I Illustratord (new word!) a pencil drawing I did of some sage yesterday. I think it turned out well. Im going to use it for the shops website. The one we have now is atrocious, so I took it upon myself to make a new one.
I bought my ex some vintage (1890s to 1940s) photographs of horses for Christmas. There are several things shes obsessed with in life: two of which are photography and horses. I figured it was a winning combination. The nice part is five out of the six auctions I won are located here in Phoenix. The sixth is somewhere in North Dakota or something, and has multiple pictures: one of an old house, another of a military fellow in full uniform, one of a church, and then six or seven pictures of horses.
I was originally looking at some horse statuettes, and I found a bunch of cool jade, silver, and bronze ones from China. Unfortunately, shipping costs were up in the hundreds of dollars. Yikes.
There were some neat papyrus scrolls with Egyptian paintings on them, too, that I was looking at. Most of them were either from sellers with little to no feedback or sellers in Cairo. I didnt vibe to well to the idea of my scrolls being stuck in customs for a decade. I want books on ancient hieroglyphics, bitches!
Someone come with me to our company Christmas party at some fancy restaurant in Scottsdale called Tarbells.

company christmas parties are the devil. i don't think i've ever attended a work-related event. it just hurts too much... it's like seeing teachers outside of school. they're not people, it just doesn't compute.
