I rarely cook for myself; the whole roasted chicken and rice thing a couple nights ago doesnt happen very often when its just me. The best way I can explain it is that I dont feel like exerting all that effort on myself because Id probably be just as happy eating a bowl of Ramen. Someone come over once in a while so I have an excuse to make something decent!
I think I actually decided on a tattoo that I want. Ive had a couple of ideas before, but none of them really stuck. As I was making some potato wedge fry things, I thought Tempt Fate would be cool. Dont ask me why this came to my mind as I was chopping up potatoes, cause I dont have a clue. Im not sure what kind of lettering Id use I think the whole gothic/old European font is a bit overdone, so I doubt Ill go that route. Im sure Ill think of something.
Anyway, besides burning a knuckle on the stove and almost getting my arms eaten by the HURCO at work, nothing exciting has happened today. I think I'll finish sitting on my ass doing nothing.
God I love time off from college.

Laptop update. I PUISHED TEH BUTON.
I ended up going the refurbished route. Theyre either brand-new or 99% brand new. Most times theyre laptops that came back under a 30-day return guarantee, sometimes there was something wrong. Either way, theyre fixed back to new condition. Theyre also cheaper! In the end, this was what I bought for a little over $1300:
Pentium M (Centrino) 1.4GHz
512MB 266MHz DDR
40GB 5400RPM HDD
14.1 XGA LCD
32MB ATI Mobile 9000
24x CD-RW/DVD-ROM
Intel PRO 2200 internal wireless (part of the whole Centrino thing)
56K modem, 10/100 Ethernet card
I think thats all the fun stuff. Im probably going to wipe the HDD and install XP Pro once it comes. It has Home pre-installed, but if I have to use XP Im going to use the better of the two. I might try 2000, but sometimes name-brand PCs/laptops are real bitchy when it comes to operating systems they werent designed for. Most of the time its a simple matter of scouring the net for the appropriate drivers, sometimes it isnt. You never know with those tricksy name-brands.
Yee-haw for debt!
