No, just putting it out there because I love the cover. And every second of the record, of course. Nice on the Worlock and Last Rights vinyl. You know, ever since I heard the track Left Handshake, it struck me how incomplete I think Last Rights is without it. I mean, it would definitely be the best Puppy record if that ill-fated "Song #10" (Left Handshake) was not so missing. As it is, I frankly consider Last Rights and Too Dark Park to be relatively equal.

Speaking of Rabies, though, right after I graduated college wayyyyyy back in 1996, I wrote cEVIN a few emails. Of course, this was not too long after Dwayne's death, so I can only imagine what kind of emotional state cEV was in, but he responded to them relatively kindly and promptly. (Dare I say, just try to get him to do that now.) In one of them, I asked him in what sense was my beloved Spahn Dirge a "live" recording. (I'd always wanted to know that at the time.) And he gave me good details! I've got it saved somewhere, so I'll quote it back to you someday, but suffice to say for now that it wasn't "live" in the traditional sense of a concert.

How's it all been going?

Very busy now then, apparently! Yeah, it's a good and bad thing, much the same as all else. Too much business almost inevitably leads me down the path of bad business, though, so if you want my advice (though I seriously don't see any reason why you should want it), take it light yo.

Yeah you know, lyrics don't often mean very much to me, either. I mean, I have this best friend of mine in Portland, and this guy, I mean he *breathes* that stuff, you know? It's like poetry to him. But for me, for me to really get the lyrics, they typically have to be sung very clearly and be very unique. Like the lyrics to that BTBAM song I posted, I had to look that shit up, because Tommy Rogers literally sounds like an enraged lion when he sings those lines.

Anyway, it really feels good to get a comment back from you and to know that you're not through with me yet. I dunno, you probably have the right to be, considering I've been posting like, what, once a millennium. But seriously, I'm really going to try to stick with it this time, and this last post will be my final strictly-lyrics blog for a while. I just really, really love The Arcade Fire. (If you've seen them floating around the local bars where you're at, I'm going to be so extremely jealous.)
