I like the straight shooters; the honest, positive people in life who don't insist on dragging others down. Those sort of people rock my world and thank the guides for the ones I know. The rest of them can kiss my ass as I walk away and let them fall into the morass they chose to make for themselves.
Strangely enough all my pics went -ffpt- but you're in luck. Or so I'd like to think. You see I posted some new pics (and a couple of the old ones) which I thought were rather pretty. Take a look if you've got the time.
Also, I'm wondering is it better to be happy or to be responsible? My job (well, really it's the people... Read More
I just met Freckle, and a luverly lass she be. Thanks go to her for coming to see me. I rather enjoyed the conversation we had and look forward to meeting more SG members, preferably sooner rather than later.
So I went on vacation. 'Twas an experience I won't forget soon. I slept alot, I read alot, and I had some big revelations. Here's how it went down:
Sleep: I slept 36 of my first 48 hours in Idaho. Guess I must have needed it. I went to bed, got up, ate breakfast went back to bed, got up, ate lunch, went back to... Read More
You had some very insightful things to say in my journal. I
suppose I've been studying more Eastern Philosophy as of
late, which can make my point of view seem abstract; morality
from a Christian perspective has a tendency to be more heavy-
handed in it's views. After studying Taoism for awhile I've come to
the understanding that, esp. from a philosophical perspective, morality
or "rightness", and God are one in the same. This of course, from what you
intimated, a given in the understanding of God. But, if one's internal guidance
leads them on the path of "rightness", then they follow the word of God. In this
I would referr to the most quoted segment of the Gnostic texts; " lift a stone
and you will find me, split a piece of wood and I am there; the Kingdom of Heaven is
within you." This statement condones a path of righteousness that theoretically exists
within each one of us, if we seek it out. This is the transcendental excercise that has
become dormant in Christian thought, and somewhat dormant to social conscience. How
can this idea be proven? it can't. That's the excercise. To find the truth, which must begin in
the heart.
Yeah, end of thesis.( Went off the deep end on that one, eh?)
"It's hard to be strong in a world of weakness where every self-indulgence is not only accepted but encouraged. Where is a human to turn for guidance when all the old moral convictions are mocked and those who stand iron-willed against their baser desires are laughed at? No morality is left to us but opinion and conjecture. It's time for a change; not moral legislation,... Read More
The eerie thing is, I believe this statement could hold true
for any time in history. It's up to each of us to look internally
for moral guidence, and impart that truth to those in need. The
biggest difference between now and the past is that it has some-
how become burgois for us to seek answers within. The only way
to progress is to look to the past for what it has to offer us in the
form of guidence, and adapt this to our new owrld.
(Much later...) Hello, about that tarot card/ birthday thing;
the number of your birthday corresponds with the number of
the Tarot. For example, my birthday is on the 13th of November.
The 13th card of the Major Arcana is Death, also known as change.
I've seen people use a different numerological formula to figure this,
so I know there are multiple ways to achieve this. There's a book called
"The Secret Language of Birthdays", if you can find it, it's worth checking out.
Damn I'm poor. Last month $150, this month I have to borrow $300. Looks like I'll have to find a second job for the summer. That sucks, I hate working seventy hours a week.
On a lighter note we start shooting my film in about eight weeks.
