Hehh drowning in empathy for the human race. So a while ago this punk/indy/recovoring junkie (if such thing is possible i wonder at times) turned me on to burroughs. I've been reading the "naked lunch" here and there for the past 3 days (thanks to cudahy libary). So this morning i'm like ok gotta work at 4 no wake and bakesss....watch a little batman be productive do a little homework.....what ever.
So about 2 hours into my soc. paper i'mlike hmmm....how stuff works dot com. Abdon my paper and start researching shit that has entirely nothing todo with my class. Up till this point i'm being productive and not smoking pot. Which is rare cause for me productivity comes from my herbal suppliments, which is sad but it works! Anywho i'm anticipating a call from my mom on her way to england on business, and the phone rings. Well its this kid steve who wants to know if i wanna smoke. And offers to smoke me down.
So he comes over. I abdon my research on P.E.M.F.C. (proton exchange membrane fuel cells). We smoke, we chit chat, they leave. Oh well...So i turn to burroughs. about 2 half pages about reading about some giant walking penis creature rapes a young boy and snaps his neck in front of paying crowd i just feel.....kinda dirty.
In mean heres something written from the brincks of depraveitiy from the hands of a junkie starved for a fix no less. Its a grim appoclyopic future. And that scene i just described above takes place in the future america. Earlier this morning i was reading on CNN,com about that poor little girl in florida. And i mean shit it doesn't just stop there. It's happening all over. I don't really think people are aware of the child slavery ring. Its big business and there is no conceviable way all the law enforcement agancies can cut through all the buracracy protecting these fucks.
The worlds in sad state of afairs. And it like man I'm 21 years old. Someday i may or may not have a family. Which is mostly wishful thinking on my part. But the point is my friends in a few years will have kids of there own, and i'll be uncle chris. What kind of world are we leaving for them?? i mean forget the enviroment, forget abortions........the rights of the unborn? the rights of nature? if you belivein darwins theory mother nature will protect itself. As for the rights of the unborn, i'll champion your cause when all the injustices against the living are straighted out 1st. P.S. that my way of saying i'm pro choice!
on lighter note....the field of hydrogen powered cars....not to far off! so there is hope somewhere
