Life is what gets in the way of planning. Or something like that.

<geek rant>
Work was a pain about my laptop - I was given this tiny IBM T40 that I was supposed to edit documents on, and it was just UUUUUGLY. Aside from the random crashes, and inability to write CDs (back up data is good!), it was just ok. So after going...

Did better with the photos this weekend - went to Anza Borregas (sp?) to check out the wildflowers - totally amazing. It's supposed to be a desert, but it is totally covered with flowers. (Shades of Talking Heads).

However, all the heat there (about 90F) masked the cold that was busily striking me down. Sunday to tuesday I was home with a nasty cold that...

Back from an exhausting business trip - spent an entire week at a hotel just next to the Frankfurt airport. Oh what a thrill that was. Don't get me wrong, I do enjoy going to Germany, but I really would prefer to get out and see something other than the airport. And, to top it off, I pulled a muscle inbetween my shoulder blades, which...

What a breath of fresh air this site is. I was really used to seeing a LOT of people with tatoos and piercings where I used to live (Santa Cruz). However, moving to San Diego has been a major shift in many ways - politically, socially.

At least I live in a small pocket of GLBT happiness. Well, at least half of the neighbors are...
