In other news- The Matt passed the listening exam. He made reference to a book that I was talking about like... 2 years ago. Yup, gonna keep him.
edc made me come up with a name for my hypothetical porn site. "Venus's Concubine" was what I came up with, and it would be more of a fetish photography site than anything, really.
Hot Topic was an interesting experience. I hadn't been in one of those since high school. I was wearing *gasp* color and I am over 14, so I don't think the salesdude knew what to make of me. Or maybe he was fascinated by my ass, cause whenever I turned, there he was. So he followed me around the store, as though I were about to lift all the carebear pody piercings in my cabbie hat. I felt kind of bad for the poseur rap Hot Topic has gotten by the subculture elitists. There were cute T-shirts, and the bleach is supposedly really good. I think I was the only customer in there that wasn't a kid, or being dragged in by a kid. I might go back sometime and buy a frog hat. Those are nifty, and very j-pop.
I got accepted to the beauty school I wanted acceptance in. WoOt! But I don't start till June, which kind of sucks, but maybe that will leave me time to go "home" and visit people first, which sounds kinda nice.
No beauty school isn't the last stop of post secondary education for this young woman. I was talking to my x-country friend who now lives in NY. I assured her of this, and she was all "good, because you are really smart and it would kind of be a waste." But it would be a skill to aquire with which to support myself while I study other things that interest me. Eventually I want to go back and study International Studies (or equivalent) and maybe go to Law School. After that, I would like to get into diplomacy.
Alana: the modern equivalent of "I love you" is "my chat conversation files are larger with you than with anyone else."
