Blog Homework: Your favorite horror movie of all time

This is a good one. Ive never truly thought about which horror movie I like the most. I have quite a few, but when I saw this movie, it actually kind of got to me.

My favorite horror movie, is The Amityville Horror.

The movie itself constantly had me on the edge of my seat and had me jumping. The haunting aspect of the movie is what really got to me. There were parts where it really made you wonder what it would be like to be in the Lutz' shoes. Not only were these previous murders in the DeFeo family real, but the hauntings stayed with the house or so the Lutz family claimed.

I first remember seeing the remake at my friends birthday party when I was younger. I was absolutely terrrrified! They all were so into the movie and I was the one hiding behind my hands! I actually called my mom to come get me because I was getting scared!

Ive also watched a lot of documentaries on it, with the family who've lived there and even in those you see people being absolutely terrified and paranormal things happening during interviews. Any paranormal story that starts from real situations, and are based on true stories are the ones that really seem to creep me out sometimes. Much like exorcism movies because I believe there are many things we don't know about out there, and demonic forces along with paranormal hauntings tend to tie into each other and feed off each other as well as people.

But I must say, ever since getting into that movie, the fear I felt, hasn't ever since kept me into horror movies and now its almost impossible to find anything that scares me!

Thanks for this one @lyxzen @missy @rambo <3

@prurient yes. This movie kept me from horror movies for well into adulthood. There are  still movies that i can only watch during the day.
