I realized it was time for an update.

I've been back since LAAAAATE monday night. I took Tuesday off work and spent it sitting in line at places like the DMV and Social Security (aka: spots of hell on earth). I took Wednesday off work and spent in writing some thank you notes and returning gifts that were duplicates. Got enough money back from that to buy GoWings these:

wusthof knife block set (also been drooled over and sharp enough to carve his ma's heart out in her sleep- her words not mine! )

Now I get to sit back and enjoy the delicious food he can cook for me. If there was any room to move more than 2 feet in our tiny kitchen. There are boxes upon boxes all over my house. I can't take it much longer.

The good news is that we are going to look at a house today. I am keeping my fingers crossed but not getting my hopes up. We have to find a place soon though, or I am going to kill someone.
