I'm glad you left that job. I'm still dealing with the financial fall out of parting from my last gig, but it's been worth every penny.
I have a new job at a publishing house- I don't think I told you that. Today I get my first writing assignments. Most everything they do is profiles on businesses for travel books so it's not the most glamorous but just getting paid to put words on a page means a lot to me. And this could translate to a writing job in Hawaii when I move (probably this summer).
You get writing assignments? I need to get a job like that. Wow. I'm so going to live of my words really soon, I know it.
Quiting my job left me peniless, but money isn't worth self esteem. Ever. I might be working in a bar soon enough, which will be fun, if unprofitable.
