i was the same way all day! makes actually getting some work done pretty tough whatever
pavlovsdog:
That's why I like Spirit III, because he's so creepy.

Thanks.

Sometimes I like gray drizzling days because it makes the world feel not quite so big. I wouldnt want it all the time though.

I am going to use my space today to comment on a thread that can be found here. It regards a news item submitted to SG, which describes an Alabama legislator's attempt to get "God Bless America" on the state license plate.

I guess I should make comments on the actual thread itself, but I don't feel like defending Alabama to people who have...

Yeah, whatever...I saw how big the toe area of those shoes you wore to my party were... I know there were webbed toes in there!!

wink
pavlovsdog:
I glad you won't throw things at me at the next party.

That's pretty much a southern stereotype. It's sad when the media only focuses on kooky southern people, and totally ignores what a unique and diverse culture there is down here.

Ok, for those of you who have large families or in-laws, you'll understand what I'm going through. It's now the strategic planning phase of Christmas, where we try to find one day the week of Christmas when my family can all get together. This is not easy, since my brother, sister and I all live in different cities, and we each have in-laws to plan...

Happy (almost) Thanksgiving!

I've just made my first trip to the mall to get ideas for Christmas, and I could hardly move. It wasn't the number of people, but all the stuff they have set up at the mall. Santa's chair and photo area, gift wrapping, and the stage set up for a show next month. If they set up one of those Hickory Farms...

It's hot, then it's cold again.

It's November and I'm stuck in closet limbo. I've already put my short sleeved shirts away once, pulled them back out, and now I'm thinking about putting them away again, because it is frickin' cold. But I then I checked the weather and it's going to be 77 degrees next week. Argh!

Otherwise, it has been a S L...

Note to self:

Hey, you, there's a reason you carry a pen and some paper in your purse. It's so you can write stuff down. I know you'd like to think you're still young and can remember everything, but you're not, so wise up and start making ACTUAL notes, not just mental ones.

Oh, and it's been six months. Learn your cell phone number already....

The SGNC Halloween party was a blast. SGNC is made up of some really creative folks - everyone's costume was great.

I dressed up as Velma, from the Scooby gang, and you know what the hardest part of that costume was? The orange kneesocks. Really. I had a hard time finding something - even though it was Halloween, the season for orange! Everything I looked...

It is officially not summer now.

Ok, technically summer has been over for a while, but it has been warm enough around here to still feel like summer. Not any more. This week, it finally got cold enough for me to pull out the extra blankets, dig out my long sleeve shirts, and bring down the space heater from the attic.

My family has started...

Help! I've fallen under 23 pounds of laundry and I can't get up!

No really...I'm still here, but re-cleaning the house because now my sister is coming up to visit us this weekend. I'm excited though, because we're going to go SHOPPING!!!
Oh, uh, for SHOES, I swear, because you know I don't need any more clothes. wink

The cable has been acting up tonight, of...

I hate it when they put two good shows on at the same time.

I haven't seen any of the news season of Lost. I've been busy every Wednesday.

Ha! Now you can say my cable got cut by cotton pickin' cable cutters.

The kitties are now collarless - we took them to the vet and now they have their Frontline medicine. We went ahead and purchased additional doses for the upcoming months. From everyone I've talked to, once the fleas get in the house, they're difficult to get rid of!

We also got some diet food for our fat cat Cleo. She weighs 18 pounds, which is...
