hmmmmmm... complicated this relationship stuff is..... cuz I wouldnt say the passion is the difference, I think having sex is the only difference between a 'bestfriend' or 'girlfriend' Cuz u can feel passionatly about people you arnt sleeping with....just like there's different kinds of love....ideally shouldnt your best friend be your girlfriend.....I think that's the point of being with sumone...?! but then when you bring up the whole 'friends with benifits', well all the lines begin to blur. I wouldnt say it's a bad thing, but it can get complicated... I'm in a similar situation, cept there's more wrong with my relationship than lack of passion/sex, we're not really best friends, so I dont think it's worth trying to save anymore, we've grown FAR apart...in the mean time a great friend of mine and I have.....well been bad. But I know he's not thinking long term...so 'fuck friends' we are....but you have to keep yourself mentally prepared for the day they fall in love with someone, and 'just friends' you become....but if I was with my soul mate I would work things out....The whole trick is to find your soulmate, cuz if they are, they should like all the same things as you...there's always 2nd and 3rd best, which can still be great, but #1 will be the perfect match......good luck with your tug -o war....

I would never throw away something really special for more exciting sex though, you can find that everywhere. Lame sex canget worked out, but you can't make a person smarter or more interesting
