Last month I finally splurged and bought a new car stereo because the CD player on the stock stereo has not worked at all in the two and a half years that I've owned my car. I had some long distance trips coming up and decided I needed the ability to listen to CDs rather than constantly scanning for static-laced stations that I lose after...

Just got home from a week long trip to Maryland for a convention and visit. The convention was Horrorfind, a horror convention focused mostly on media and movies; not so muhc on books. I had fun, and I saw a lot of old friends, but it's not really worth going back to again, business-wise. Made some good connections, but lousy sales. There were only two...

Welcome back
Maryland is always lovely in the summer.

Apparently, I have a pet spider.
I first noticed a couple of weeks ago that every time I went out to my car, there was a spider web streched from my driver's side rearview mirror to the window. I'd drive somewhere, the web would get destroyed, and next time I used the car, the web was back. But I never saw an actual spider.

I've seen him live several times now, and no two shows are ever the same. He does a good bit of improv in addition to his normal songs, some by changing lyrics to current songs, and some by making up completely new...

That's saying something, because in my world, good birthdays are pretty rare. This year, I got to spend my birthday with someone I love and...

Thanks Guys, it was a good day!
Okay, I've never been big on journaling; not in private, and sure as hell not for the whole world to see, But I guess I can give it a try occasionally . . . bear with me.

Hi there.
Nice to hear from you and welcome to SG!
My last six occupational years have been divided up in both office and retail management (mostly office). I'm not sure where I'm going nnext, as I've applied for a variety of jobs... but mostly, I think I'm staying away from mgmt and far away from retail.
