i am rapidly approaching old age. i think i should be freaking out, but i dont care. maybe i do. dunno. went out to a show a few weekends ago, Age Of Ruin. angry geetar music, i dig em a lot they have a fire spitter in their stage act. saw it in some Fraternal Order of The Yak meeting lodge or something. most of what i go to know is indy straight edge type shows in barns basements and churches. the music kicks ass but im usually the oldest there by 10 years at least. girls with braces rule!

good music at least. the community around it however, is wierd. the dancing. when i was a tot the pit (it wasnt even called that i dont think) was where you went to get the hell knocked out of you. you bonded with the rest of the participants through mutual experience of discomort. now the point of the pit is to do the wakkyiest most flamboyant thing you can do involving the maximum number of limbs WITHOUT touching anyone. its like a retarded peacock wiggling his legs instead of his tailfeathers. multiplied by a dozen or two. although i guess this is better than the herd of noneck nohair boys at big shows (hatebreed) who go not to bond in concussion with their peers but to beat people up and get away with it. altho there is something appealing about a good kncok down drag out fight, espescially at a show. but its late and my rant is ending.
