Okay,so the picture below may be a little soppy....but my wife just sent it to me and it cheered me up a bit.
Our little sausage dog Matilda ,became very ill on Friday morning.We rushed her to the vet,and in the process of rushing ,we had the front wheel of the truck come off.
Luckily one wheel nut held on,otherwise it could have gotten ugly.
After two and a half hours of frantic repair,we managed to get Matilda to the vet.
She was diagnosed with severe Biliary with an auto immune anemia.
Basically the tick bite fever(Biliary) was making her sick,but her body was reacting by killing the virus,as well as her healthy red blood cells.
She was immediately hospitalised and put on a drip.
Long story short...she had an emergency blood transfusion late Saturday afternoon,as she was starting to die.
News today is that she is stable and we will know more this afternoon.
Bit of a Rough weekend....and if this is how we are with our dogs......i cant imagine when the baby comes along.Frightening indeed.
