Well, that took longer than expected, so I didn't end up taking the trip to the blood clinic. I guess tomorrow's gonna be the day of the exsanguination.

Naturally I've been on a massive Pearl Jam kick today. I think "I Am Mine" from Riot Act has one of my favourite lyrics of all time.

The north is to south what the clock is to time
There's east and there's west and there's everywhere life
I know I was born and I know that I'll die
The inbetween is mine
I am mine.l

Kind of sums it all up, doesn't it? I'm not one for the big philosophical debates about where we came from, what happens after we die, what was before the Big Bang, what is outside the universe... what matters is that we're here right now.

I'm just in one of those moods.
