I suppose the good thing about art school is that, while you might not necessarily be taught something in every class (by the teacher) you at least are expected to make every piece your best. Thats how I feel seeing as how there are also many other talented people there... So, even if it is just one of those, do a bunch of assignment, kind of classes, at least through trying your best you raise your standard of quality.
My band is still looking for a drummer... They seem few and far between in my area for this genre of music... Hopefully once we get someone new we can get on with doing shows and finally get some recordings to send in to labels.

That's probably how all school is and probably much of life, people just don't see it in that manner.
