*edit. negative set comments make me sad. when will you people learn that it isn't right to say exactly what you're thinking? your body isn't out there on display. you aren't being judged. we don't like it. if you think one set is worse than the others, keep it to your goddamn self. don't wreck out day.
i should begin with the matters of most importance. given a certain frightening occurance earlier in the day, the day being wednesday, i found myself sleeping with the lights on as well as the radio set to 103.1. during this time, i awoke many times. once to hear a cover of we will become silhouettes. at some point i heard a song by a certain band i have vowed not to like. sadly, i had no idea it was them. yesterday, on soma fm, another came on. this is good i thought and then i checked out the band name. bright eyes. i died a little on the inside. and then wrote a poem about it.
next, the reason for why i had my lights and radio on that night is this. my west hollywood apartment is haunted. for real. this ghost, which may or may not belong to rudolph valentino. wednesday morning i left the window to my kitchen closed. wednesday evening it was open. thursday morning i latched it shut. thursday evening it was open. sloane spoke to the landlord. he said he hadn't been in my apartment, and that the previous tenants had mentionned similar things. haunted, i say! i must say, i do not enjoy sleeping alone now, but then again, i am a huge baby. this morning i latched the window once again, and took photos. this evening we will see, oh yes.
relating to 103.1, what is up with the guy that does the station adverts? terrible!
my birthday is next weekend! huzzah! today i will make snazzy, and possibly lame, invites to my party. i've got to find a flapper dress, which i do not expect to be difficult. i love theme parties! one extra awesome thing about staying in the US now, is that i get to use the fabulous american amazon wishlist. flamingo! yes, that may have been a plug. maybe.
tonight i may possibly attend a burlesque show. i expect the company to be good. a shame i'm oh so shy around said company.
i need more friends in LA. my nights spent in the haunted shire are getting old. i also need work, possibly of the under the table variety.
woot! edit! i bought a 14" ibook! her name is betsey and she is beautiful. i must find a carrying case somewhere.
i must edit solely to say that i need every single dirty three album. 'some things i just don't want' just came on soma fm and it reminded me how much i love them. one of the best shows i have ever been to. very moving. and in good company with eric.
