today's set is so incredibly hot.
d20 made me watch hidalgo last night. i now miss those couple hours of my life that i gave away. humouring the boy's odd needs lead to me staying up really late to meet my goals for the day. this morning was not a pleasant one.
happy late thanksgiving to the canadians. i enjoyed quite the vegan meal. hippies make some interesting dishes. like the crazy veggie loaf full of veggies, oats, nuts and all sorts of spices. we also had cookies. which reminds me, i have a huge tin of chocolate chip cookies! huzzah! being away from my family for thanksgiving was slightly weird though. i felt homesick on saturday when i called home and my mum said that she was just getting ready to leave for the big meal. not that i could eat anything there anyway, but hey, i miss my family. christmas is going to be rough this year. first time away. it's hard for the baby of the family.
speaking of family, i got an incredibly surreal telephone call from my mum today. i was adopted when i was a wee baby long ago. today whilst my mum was cleaning, she came across my adoption papers which held all sorts of information about my birth parents that i never knew. to hear this stuff was so odd. my biological parents actually have backgrounds now. i know my mother was of ukrainian descent and was 23 when she had me and i have two older sisters. i have two aunts on her side. my father was british and 33. i know about their interests and hobbies, their educations, my grandparents, i know why they gave me away. so surreal.
anyway. i'm going to make banana bread in the near future.
23 days until the oc returns. woo.
and thanks to those that actually purchased me stuff from my wishlist. i am incredibly touched. and oh so happy. you are all awesome. and you all get kisses, whoever you are.
