Last night I popped out to King Tut's to see the Polysics. I've always found them fun on record, but not something I'd listen to often... a little too mannered, a little too quirky for their own good, maybe.

Live is a different matter though. I'm now a confirmed fan for life. What sounds laboured and clichd on record is pure, life-affirming POP! music...

Busy, busy.

On the one hand, I had a hell of a weekend. On the other, I'm knackered. I need to switch off for a while and recharge, but can't due to work getting in the way. Story of my life...

Thursday was a grave error of judgement on my part, consisting of every variety of bourbon under the sun, mixed with apple juice. Oh,...

I think we are BOTH somewhat well versed in the art of mighty piss-ups to let a bad one put us off. In fact, experience can help spot one before its too late.

haha.. GLC... Good lads, about time someone subtly took the piss out of the rampant chav/scrote culture which we're now famous for apparently! biggrin

Tonight I shall be heading to the End of the Month Club, and enjoying the melodic musings of Cnut.

It may be Cnut's last time there for a while, as the legendary Mr Innes Smith is hopping on the number 900 to Edinburgh and never coming back. Such is the lure of his burlesque-star girlfriend... So I'm expecting it to be a...

I only ever get hangovers if I end up drinking 7-8 different types of booze over the course of the evening. Since I mostly stick to beer and whisky I'm pretty safe. Can't see the attraction of hangovers personally tongue

Oh dear God. Hangover from hell, and I just walked for an hour in the pissing Glasgow rain to the post office and back to collect an Amazon order. Since my vision is still too blurry to read, I feel that may have been a futile trip.

I think my friend Barry broke the local rock club last night.

I think my girlfriend's choice of...

fpkk:
A world indeed.but I want some of that real life godammit!

Still I can nearly walk now so that's a definite plus. Hope you're keeping yourself out of trouble... I can't bear to think of people having a good time without me.

Yrs,

The Killjoy. wink

Okay, so this happened.

Which was fun, although Edinburgh was exceptionally quiet.

The CIty Cafe was dead... and as the folk who met up there last year can attest to (Nic, 'Tron, Abbaddon, Cavelle, Ten, Preppy...) It's not usually quiet at all. Opium was similarly devoid of people, but then, maybe they were all upstairs in the club, 'largin' it', or whatever the youngsters call...

Cardiff was messy, as ever.

I popped down there on the early o'clock flight, and was met with tropical sunshine, which was shock to my Glaswegian system, I can tell you.

Spent a happy day topping up my tan in streetside bars and cafes, making my way through a couple of novels... then headed to Chapter for an art show opening (the reason I was...

"Let it flow, let yourself go..."

It's Cardiff tomorrow for me. Typical bad timing, since Ladyinsane and Sianyriot have recently left for the Summer.

Bah.

The Glasgow leg of the Download festival starts today... so this evening I should get home from work to find Korn and Metallica playing just below my balcony. So that'll be nice. Shame I don't like either of them.

Tomorrow however, I've booked the day off work, because I want to watch the Distillers and Iggy and the Stooges. Oh yes.

In related news... I'm...

I have to say that I wouldn't want Korn and Metallica playing just below my balcony. Unless I had the opportunity to record some unofficial Metallica bootleg mp3s just to annoy them.

But Iggy and the Stooges? Oh yes indeed.

Have a good one! smile

I just poured water down my front. It would seem that I am pished. Ooops.

Still corrected my spelling up there, though.
vampsinthe78:
I type like I'm pished... Even when I'm not. Anyone want a Discharge t-shirt I made, with the glaring typo "MIDDLESBOROUGH" on the back? Its gonna haunt me for the rest of my life. Hope youre doing well.. Cheers for the offer of advice, I may take you up on it... @_@ v78
