I picked up the new (sort of) Dresden Dolls album. I dig it, but it is very obviously an album of b-sides. "Night Reconnaissance" and "Lonesome Organist Rapes Page-Turner" are the two tracks which stand out to me.
I was pleasantly surprised that the UEFA Champions League final was covered extensively on ESPN's news services, which we get through the Armed Forces Network. I was disappointed to not catch the match, and I was also disappointed that Man U won the game. While I hate Man U and Chelsea with a passion, I did have a soft spot for Frank Lampard this season. Frank lost his mother to pneumonia (which was a complication leading to my mom's death) at about the same age I was. So, knowing how he feels, I hoped he could get a trophy for Pat Lampard. Alas, the domination of United was complete.
Work is still shaping up well. That's good.
I'm expecting the last of my posters ordered to arrive soon, so when my room is finished, I'll have pictures.
