Well, less than a week to go before I head out.

I just express ordered Photoshop and Rosetta Stone-Arabic.

I plan on getting smart and creative this trip. And buff. I don't think I want to fuck around on my free time as much as I used to.

Here's the plan:

FITNESS: Run in the mornings before I go on my shifts, go to the gym afterwards. I did it in Afghanistan and I liked the results. Eight months of it and I hope to be HOT.

LANGUAGE: Part of me wanted to either keep working on Serbian and Croatian, part of me wanted to work on an easier language like French, but I decided that since I have (including this one) THREE more trips to Iraq, I should learn Arabic.

PHOTOGRAPHY: I bought a Nikon D80 this weekend. I like it. I'm getting an extra memory card, an extra battery, a better lens, and an underwater case (to keep the sand out). My vision is to shoot the fuck out of Iraq. With my camera. I think I need to grab a photoshop and a photography for dummies book before I leave, though, since I won't have much in the way of resources for advice.

Anyway. I'll try to have an address for you this week.
