Things are good here. I picked up a squad, so it's good to be in charge of some people again. It's only temporary, four of the soldiers graduate in a month or so and one of them is due to be dropped from the school once the paperwork goes through, BUT, it's all good.
One's a pretty squared away dude, even if he is a bit cocky, but the good ones usually are. One is kind of a space cadet, I hope he doesn't get anyone hurt in the real Army. Another is a good cat, has a lot of family issues, but I give anyone credit who is willing to be a mother AND a soldier. That takes a lot. The last one...
The Sonic Boom we call her.
She can't really do anything a soldier needs to do. She's in horrible shape, she's not so bright, and really just cannot do a damn thing. I've been given the most special of the special needs soldiers.
I have resigned myself that in one month, I will not make her a GOOD soldier, but at least I can try to make her a little better before she heads off to wherever she goes to next.
