So what's up with me? My diet isn't going as well as I have hoped, but I'm still losing. I think I've gone from fat to just chunky. 
(I have some serious body image issues. That this realization has sunk in is a big step for me. Now I just can't get cocky.)
I try to think of something big and insightful everytime I update, which I why I suppose I have problems updating. Hopefully, I'll get something before I get to the end.
I almost killed someone the other day. Quite by accident I assure you. I was running some errands, and I was just going to pop into the drug store to pick something up, and since I had people with me, I left the car on. Apparently I didn't put it into park, however, and the car almost backed up over my aunt. Let me take a moment to point a few things out. 1-My aunt was not one of the people with me. 2-I had not seen my aunt in some months. Her presence there was entirely coincidental. 3-My aunt had been run over by a car not put into park once before.
Of course, I felt like an ass. On the upside (sorta), when she had er accident, she was the one who forgot to park the car and thus was quite understanding. SO really, it's her fault for making a habit of walking behind unparked cars. (Yeah, I feel like a complete ass.
)
Dave tried to get me to join his Krav Maga...dojo or whatever the hell you call them. He took me to the place and showed me what he does every week. It's nuts. They do hundreds of situps, lunges and pushups, then they start the class. Plus $70 a month when I've got my own punching bag and workout CD's? No way. (I'm just rationalizing. I'd actually prefer not to learn any self defense. Might give me illusions of adequecy.)
Serenity and Mirrormask both open this weekend! I'm uber psyched.
Now I have to decide which to go see on Friday. This are decisions no man should have to make.
Upside time. My progress on the house fund is going great. Oh, that hurricane missed. I feel bad for East Texas though. I've given money and donated blood, plus I'm signing up to give platelets. My pug Stewart was having some problems, but he's much better now. Yeah, I think a cute puppy is upbeat enough to end a post.
Quick story update. The longer I think about my TKWNDP story, the more I want to put the character into a mythical world. While it may make the title moot, I think I want to give him a cybernetic eye sometime along in the plot. I have the scene now:
Scientist: All right, your new eye should be working.
Alex: What does it do?
Scientist: Do?
Alex: Does it have a built in laser?
Scientist: It's an eye, it helps you see.
Alex: Night or thermal vision?
Scientist: It's an eye, it helps you see!
Alex: Camera? MP3 player?
Scientist: It's an eye, it helps you see!
Yeah, I'll work on that.
I need a new profile pic. The more I look at this one, the more I can tell which eye is near sighted, and which is far sighted.
