3/7 What is your favorite game?
Some throwbacks is this blog! One of my favorite PC games growing up was "Where in The World is Carmen Sandiego!" Not sure why I thought I was a real detective in this game. Haha but I could sit for hours playing that shit.
How about some Spyro?!? Yeah I'm a kid. I thought finding the eggs was the greatest thing ever!! Thought? Correction: I think. They are so fucking cute! And I'd try guessing which one I found. And who doesn't want to breath fire and scorch sheep?! Haha sorry fucked up but funny.
Anyone remember Don't Break the Ice? When I was a kid, you bring me a game that included hammers and it became more of a hit people, not ice, game. It aggravated the crap out of me because I sucked at it, but it was fun.
Here's a favorite for many... Zelda!! Talk about addiction. It's one where you can't put the damn controller down once you start. My daughter is just as addicted. She ended up getting it for her DS because she can't take our N64 in the car. It can keep us entertained for days.
Nowadays, kids go to school talking about what was on Facebook, Twitter, IG etc. When I was younger, we talked about power ups, what levels we beat in a game, we traded memory cards, and taking a deck of cards everywhere to play go fish was the thing to do!
Don't worry Bros. I didn't forget my all time favorites Mario AND donkey Kong!! Yes, I place them above all others. Mario will always be the reason I had friends haha. It was one thing my sisters and I did together constantly. Mad? Play Mario. Sad? Play mario. Grounded? It's okay, mom doesn't believe in abuse, you can still play Mario. D... K... Donkey Kong. Anyone need a banana? Or hundreds? Ride on an ostrich? A rhino? Wanna throw barrels for no reason? Don't lie! You know you picked up those barrels and purposely threw them at nothing, for no reason!! These games kept me on edge. Looking for all the secret specials and hidden shit was a boost of some damn adrenaline. Playing the game, sitting 2 feet from the kitchen yelling "Mom, can you bring me a snack?!?!" That was the life. Now my daughter gets to do it to me :)
I will always love gaming. All types. It keeps me young.
