So, this weekend, instead of going out and partying, I took it easy and relaxed. Was able to catch up on my sleep, eat well, and just generally recharge. Hanging out with my cousin, who I love but usually can't stand to be around, helped as well. That said, I am feeling much better today than I have in at least a couple of weeks. Not only that but, by not going out and intoxicating myself I freed up enough time to take care of some sorely overdue things.
Recently managed to salvage my old hard drive with my new one and now they are both running and how! In fact, I feel stupid saying this but, I had hundreds of viruses and worms when i repaired it earlier today.
I sincerely wonder how it was I was able to run it as long as I did considering. This just goes to show, if you're going to run windows 98 as your operating system, consider allowing windows update to actually update itself every now and then. 
Also pleased to be able to say that many a lent out album have returned themselves in the last week. What's more is that in most cases, the cd's given back were ones I had long forgotten lending out. In fact, in two of the cases, I had actually lamented the loss of the albums so being given them back was both a pleasant surprise and a godsend.
I was even given back an album I could have sworn I had given to somone for their birthday. 
Oh well, who am I to question their expertise?
Finishing up my current job right now, then it's back to the jobhunt and finding somewhere to live before the fall. Accepting this innevitability required abandoning some long-romanticized travel plans but when you're living at home, in your twenties, getting the hell out takes precedence. Now if only I could come to terms with the fact that my car's upkeep is beyond my means.

I switched to XP a while back and have not had a problem. That sucks about the travel plans but I hope they come once you find a place of your own.
