So I watched Donnie Darko for the first time last night. Was left feeling much though i had just watched Mullholland Drive. In other words, it was remarkably entertaining but none the less, I still felt like I was trying to decipher some Lynch film. Going to the doctor today for a checkup and am reluctant to give blood. Is anyone else a total aichmophobe? I have horror-story memories of being held down by nurses as a child and given booster shots from outrageously large syringes. In fact, to make up for the fact that I always played to his fear of dogs, my brother, when growing up, convinced me that injections were administered through the stomach. So, it goes without saying that I dread needles and avoid them whenever possible. Unfortunately, I dont' think I have much choice today... part of a physical. Oh well, c'est la vie. I'm starting to do some creative writing soon, maybe I'll post a sample. Anyways, off to the doc, wish me luck and stay cool kiddos. kiss

Nothing worse than having a friend capitalize on your generosity. I lent a friend, who's house I was partying/sleeping at all weekend my car (to drive 4 blocks to give someone a ride home) only to find out he totally misrepresented his plans and took advantage of my trust. Nevermind the fact that he left my car unlocked as that's an honest mistake. Let's instead take heed of of the fact that he took 5 albums from my car without asking, drove far enough to burn a quarter tank of gas, and likely did drugs in my car instead of giving someone a ride home. Now, he called me to tell me he borrowed my albums at which point I told him I knew he had driven my car substantially further than he let on. Sure enough, another excuse: went to the store for eggs and milk (with which I was to be made breakfast if only I had stuck around another morning whatever ) and nothing else. I find all of this incredibly hard to believe considering that, this weekend, he showed his true colors. This same friend continuously took a shot at condescending me in an attempt to win the favor of some slut he thought I was competing with him over, also tried to steal cigarettes from one of his oldest friends and even went so far as to renounce his ten-minute earlier partners in drug abuse so he could seem less degenerate to this hurting ex-stripper he picked up. (Ok I shouldn't say ex-stripper derogatorily but I'm mad) So what can I say, I'm totally disillusioned. I had always maintained that so and so was justa pseudo-idealist who had never once lived up to his own standards of fraternity but I never wanted him to prove me right. Now the question is do I drop so and so or do I explain to them that they've been caught in their lie(s) and that their credibility has been shot to shit, knowing full-well that they will just take it upon themself to earn back my trust? is it worth giving someone who's practically written you off for no reason a second chance? If my growing pains were enough cause for them to practically condemn me, do they deserve the second chance to make ammends? frown
