Bah humbug!
X-mas sucks a nut. I know, I'm a grinch and good for me, but really, when I was younger I was allowed only one christmas and it has forever left me scarred. Though I hate the artificial sentiment and christy religiousness of it all, I know the joy of stockings and a tree and presents(Don't think I ever believed in Santa though
).
Yes I can go and materialistically define your precious little holiday
Somehow a single childhood evening/morning managed to instill in me a shameful fondness for the holiday so I can only imagine how warped everyone else's minds are. It's no wonder ppl go out and buy hundreds of dollars worth of gifts for all of their beloved...I'm sure somwhere deep down inside they love the idea of getting gifts. It's a cultural custom or ritual, if you will, of exchange which is largely just a consumerist sham. Well, least that's my narrow interpretation and I'm sticking to it. There is some side-indoctrination from the church both directly, and indirectly, with the carols and the hymns and whatnot. I am aware that I have just reduced x-mas to greed and mindless capitalism, in it's very essence, but none the less I was trying to say something. And that something is quite simply: I have the Christmas blues
Oh yeah, and by the way, wasn't Santa Claus created by the Coca-Cola corporation? Jeez, whata crock, go spend little lemmings.

Don't be telling me what you got for x-mas unless it's super nifty. I don't need to be jealous or envious of anymore ppl. What I got sucks. If you knew anything about me, or had taken a look at my bookshelf once, in the countles times you've been over, then you'd know, as thoughful and appropriate as it is, I already have this particular che guevara book and by throwing out the receipt (you probably lifted it form somewhere you cracker!) you've in effect, bought me a nice paperweight!
