On the bright side, I got to do a day of extra work on the 21st. They were filming in Oregon City as Aberdeen, Washington. The scenes were taking place over the course of three days, so all the extras had to have 3 changes of clothes. Since it was a small industrial town, the background necessary wasn't generally that much. However, I was lucky enough to be picked to be filmed in all three 'days' of my clothes - so I probably stand a good chance of finding myself in the movie. Between scenes, I was at least able to hang out with Gary (one of my cast mates from Misanthrope).
Yesterday I got my first Modeling job. Go ahead, re-read that first sentence again if you need to, I'll wait... Yup, I'm actually gonna get paid for my looks - not exactly something I really expected myself. Nike is doing some sort of photo thing (I think for an in-store display) and wanted people who's body looks like it's 22 - my youthfulness finally starting to pay off.Specifically, they said that they didn't want busty women or well defined, six-pack, abs - they wanted to use body paint to do letters 'Sports Fan' style on our bodies. Due, in part, to my pale complexion, I got a dark red 'U' on a background of yellow (needless to say, yellow doesn't stand up well to too much skin pigment).
While I waited for my turn (that is, while the other 'letters' were getting their pictures taken against a background of color coordinated extras), I nibbed at the food provided and chatted with the other 'letter' that was waiting - a nice model- turned actress named Rakhee. She was cute and friendly, but I decided to just enjoy her company (rather than overtly hit on her like one of the extras later did). I had a nice time overall, and not a bad paycheck once I get it.
