My gifts are in crazybob's Journal, plus I got a DVD player and a couple books: Garcia Marquez autobio and Michael Moore's book. While often sharing views with Moore, I have to say his writing is just too... vitriolic in an unimpressive way. I mean, as bitchy as Chris Hitchens can be in some essays and live debates, Moore is even ruder most of the time in Dude, Where's My Country?. I just think there's a balanced, professional, intelligent way to critique George Bush Jr. Running around calling him "chickenshit" is not balanced, professional, or intelligent. Accurate, yes, but please, let's keep it b, p, and i.

Resorting to swearing just isn't stylish or couth, and will get you nowhere.... except on Def Comedy Jam.

Lots of people want flat-screen TVs, but I want a bulbous-screen TV.

edit ps - and btw, I'm not a total hypocrite for wanting to hear the new Quasi song where they cuss out Georgy Jr, because... well, in a rock record, you can swear about politics, it's just that in a book you should.... I dunno, I think you oughta use more thoughtful language. Maybe Moore should join a rock band.... I know he likes Grand Funk Railroad, maybe he could join them... did you know that GFR has a pro-gun-ownership song? Yep, "Don't Let 'Em Take Your Gun."
