folks, i hardly ever say this: i'm about as happy and fulfilled as i have ever been. today was the bbq portion of my family reunion. it was a wonderful day. seems as tho my life is taking a bit of an upswing- today was great, tomorrow i'm headed to jones beach with one of my best firends, Jenn, for the motorhead show. and next weekend, i'll be back in la. but today. saw my family, chilled with cousins i havent seen in (literally) years, got drunk with said cousins. we looked like some sort of retarted gang, all of us walking around in our matching shirts, drunk. anyway, had a great time. went from morningside park (bbq, drinking) to cousin luq's house chillin, more drinkin. twas a nice reminder of how important family is.

Ila is (was) my grandmother who died in april. the matriarch of a very big family- my father is the oldest of her 11 children, i'm number 26 of her grandchildren (there's 30, i think). was so great to see all my cousins and aunts and uncles and cousins and children of cousins and children of cousin's children. a beautiful, humongous, family.
i cant wait to see them again. i need to spend more time with them. the sgny people will hopefully be meeting a bunch of them at my bday party this year.
anyway, point is i had a great day. i love my family.
