You've put up with enough crap there that I think you're entitled to say "It's no longer my problem." Do what you can before you leave but when the time is up, don't give it a second thought.
Yeah that drive is exhausting. I used to drive from San Jose to Vancouver with my brothers all the time... our record is 20 hours and that's non-stop with the driver and passenger switching off every 4 hours so both can get sleep.
It'll be so cool when the 2 of you are fully moved in.
Busy busy busy... I still feel like I have a million things left to do between work, packing and everything else that needs to get done before transfer down to Camp Pendleton.
