HAPPY 4TH OF JULY!!!!!

I'm not a super patriotic person most of the time, but I have done more to show patriotism then the vast majority of people that live in the US. There is a lot to be said about patriotism, I feel that many of the ideals that the great patriots that found our country had have been lost, changed or perverted. Don't get me wrong the US is still a great country, but I know that most people that live here have been duped, the US is not the greatest country in the world it is one of the greatest. I have lived and been to enough countries to know this to be a fact, there are many places that this does not ring true, but in a modern developing world there are many places that do. They're not better only different, but I'm still very proud to serve my country and to call my country home once again.

~ I found out something tonight that kind of disturbed me, as a kid and growing up I used to love fireworks, and stuff that blew up. Now I'm not so sure, the big ones don't bug me it's the little ones that people buy at the fireworkds stands that do. I went over to a buddies house tonight for a barbeque and to watch the fireworks they lit off at the fair grounds and everything was great till everyone started to go home and lite off their little stand bought stuff. Somethings are no big deal but other stuff just sounds too much like the stuff I heard in Iraq and made me pretty uneasy. I didn't really realize it until my buddy mentioned something about it sounding like mortar fire and how it kind of made his hair stand up. It all made sense after that but it didn't make it any easier to listen to the stuff going off.
