i just wrote one of my friends from high skewl a card. his dad died last week. since our first year at college we haven't hung out much. see him at shows and have a drink with him and stick stickers on him while i was drunk. we aren't as bonded as we used to be.... but he did talk with me the nite kenny died. i know he doesn't handle death well. i worry about him. sending a card is the best thing i can think of to do.
from experience i know that massive amounts of fone calls aren't really uplifting. and i haven't heard that he showed back up in the scene. i found his parents address in the fone book. i hope it gets to him. i hate dealing with death. when its somebody close to you that dies... you don't know how to react... what you want.... and then when you know somebody that somebody close to them has died you have no idea what to do to make it better.... the only thing i can think to offer him is to go out to coffee and color in coloring books all night or something. but i do'nt think he would be down for that... he's not that type of person. i just hope he's doing ok. i worry about that boy

i say this.....youre wondering how to help. probably feeling guilty because you think you arent. look at what you just did.....if this doesnt prove youre a good friend, i dont know what does. youre doing the right thing. being there is the right thing, he knows it to, and he will remember this

dude, coloring in coloring books is the best way of dealing with grief that i know of. i think, in situations like this, you're probably helping him more than you know.
