Yeeeaaaaah...... So I said yesterday that the thieves are out like no other? Get this....

Pregnant lady in the store today...probably about 25-27 years old. Straight up steals a rhinestone necklace from me, puts it in her American Eagle bag. Then she sees me watching her, and decides to pay for the perfume she's holding. Her "man" comes in....how's he gonna steal earrings RIGHT in...

Wow. People totally suck. I worked at blockbuster a few years ago, and had a similar experience with a girl one time.
So, this girl comes in and is staring at me, right in the eye, while I see her hands reach down and slip some candy into her pocket. Sadly, she had to be about 20 too... so it's not like it was a kid. Anyway, she came up to the register, acting like nothing was wrong, and put the movies she wanted to rent on the couter.... I asked her if that was all, and then again if she was sure... and then let her pay... when she walked through our little security gait, I put a movie by it so that it would go off and she jumped. Funny stuff. She came back over took the candy out, and paid for it... she was like "I forgot I had this". Yeah, you bet. Anyway, it was a good time.

True story.
cybele:
Yeah, working in retail or any kind of service industry can totally sour you on the human race. Many individuals nowadays seem to have absolutely no concept of right and wrong. Damn scary...

Anyhoo...

Have a superb weekend! (Avoid the mall, kiddo!) biggrin

Hmmm...so apparently I'm too stupid to figure out how to put my nephew's pics on here. But I did download them onto my computer. smile

The weekend was ok....The week has been annoying so far. All the kids are out of school now, which means the thieves are out like NO OTHER! Seriously, my store got ripped off bad today, and it was shortly before I...

That's amazing that anybody can load up $100 worth of accessories, and equally amazing that they would even want that much.

At least they sound like they were pretty dumb and got busted!

Hope all goes well with the regional manager today!
njguyperson:
Wow, that's so messed up. I'm glad they got busted too, people suck some times. Did they even look like they needed the stuff? I think that's the worst... when spoiled little kids steal stuff.... its one thing if someone's really bad off, but quite another if people are already well off and just do it to be cool.

Also, thanks for the hell yeah on the dairy queen. We got a new super dairy queen.... its like some sort of f'd up american dream come true.... sometimes it's worth just hanging around to watch who comes and goes.

So life has definately been uneventful lately, other than the fact that my sister and I took my nephew to a festival here in Cincy tonight. It was loads of fun. My nephew is 4, and he's a pimp. smile We had a blast--rode some rides, played some games, won stuff that's really cool to 4 year olds. On the way home, I asked him what...

Blech...

My DSM put in her 2 week notice today. Which means either A. Our RSM will be supervising our district even more, which will not be fun, or B. We'll get some crackhead replacement DSM from our RSM's old district, which will also not be fun.

Maybe I'll go work at Great Clips
njguyperson:
Wow. Sounds like crazy stuff. Job stress can really suck. Maybe you could set the DSM or RSM on fire. Sure, you'd get in a lot of trouble, but it might help with the stress. Either way, hope it gets better.

Oh, clean city wise, yeah.. we're lucky to have a lot of big cities within a few hours from here, but Baltimore, Philly and parts of DC are all dumps. New York is a lot better now (compared to 10 years ago), but it's still kind of a dump.. even times square is pretty dirty compared to other cities. I'll take a pic this weekend to post to compare.

It sucks to be hopelessly in love with someone who will never love you back....

On a brighter note though, Ginner and I went out and partied last night, and we had a blast!! We went to a place in Columbus called Frog, Bear, and Wild Boar. Hella good time. There were quite a few good lookin' dudes there too. Although, they still didn't compare...

Its been a boring week so far.

I went to Columbus last weekend, had a blast with my girl Gint. We partied Saturday. Turns out she has a hedgehog!! How cute is that?! Its not incredibly friendly though. And while I was in Columbus, I realized that the Hell City convention is this coming weekend. So I'm making another trip up there this weekend, for...

Boy, I wish I could say this week has been boring! Work and school are KICKING MY ASS.

Yes, hedgehogs are TOTALLY cute! What do they eat, I wonder?? Worms? Yish.
biggrin
njguyperson:
Sounds like a fun time! I've never been to Columbus.... Toledo is pretty much as far as I've gotten in Ohio. Seems like there's a lot going on out there though; clean cities and stuff.

By the way, thanks for being my friend! smile

"I'm a redneck woman,
And I ain't no high-class broad-
I'm just a product of my raisin'
I say "Hey y'all" and "Yee-haw!"
I leave my Christmas lights on
On my front porch all year long
And I know all the words to every

So here's to all my sisters
Out there keepin' it country
Let me get a big "Hell Yeah"...

Argh...I got the hummel that I ordered for my mom for Christmas today....I'm not as happy w/ it as I thought I'd be. Its super crazed! I mean, the guy said it had slight crazing....no, its all over. Maybe the heat affected it during shipping?? I don't know. I just kinda feel bad, like its defective or something, giving it to my mom.

Argh.

Um, aren't Hummels those little figurines? My grandma owned a couple, I believe. Does the one you just ordered look funny or something?

Man, I just HATE IT when you do not get what you pay for!

My mom has Hummels, and when I was little I acidently broke one.... kind of a bummer. I felt terrible about it.

That sucks about the one you ordered. You should seriously call that guy on it. It totally sucks when you try to do something nice for someone and it dosen't pan out the way you wanted, and it's terrible that he wasnn't honest about the condition of it.

Geez....most of my "buddies" never update. What's up with that? I guess I'm just a dork who likes to put stuff out here for whoever might be looking. smile

Sunday--laid in the sun, swam with the nephew, and made friends with the cicadas...they're actually kind of cute. Gotta love the bug-eyes! I like the ones that sing a lot too...they sound awful cute! Later that night...

Hello, doll! Here's you buddy that DOES update! wink

Sounds like you had a really FABULOUS weekend! I too am a total sucker for cute animated films. Recently saw "Ice Age" on video. Bloody hilarious! Laughed myself sick. Can't wait to see Shrek 2. Loved the first Shrek! (Eddie Murphy as the voice of the donkey made me about PEE MY PANTS!)

Good luck with the work situation. God, I hate office politics. Bah! puke
njguyperson:
I totally agree about the gingerbread man, he was best in the first one! The whole thing with the muffin man in the second one was really well written too, I laughed my ass off when they went to Drury Lane.

I'm really jealous of your drive in! I don't think we have any near here, which sucks because it sounds like a lot of fun. Maybe I could put my TV in my window (I live on the second floor) and invite people over to watch movies from the parking lot. smile

Ella Enchanted is pretty much an updated version of the Princess Bride.... same director. (The Princess Bride is in my top 20 movies of all time) Oh, I'm also going to look for that video to compare the little girl to the one in Shrek.

Oh, one last thing.. was cheapter by the dozen worth seeing?

So my friend and I went to a "club" here in Cincy tonight (the Waterfront, for anyone from Cincy). Major hotspot for the young 'uns, if ya know what I mean (sad that I'm only 22 and I feel so old amongst the 19 year olds). Ok, I love to dance. I may not be good at it, but I love to dance. And maybe...

Ick! Sounds like you need to find a different place to hang out! Yeah, nothing nauseates me more than a gaggle of "Britney" bare-ass wanna-be's. HEY! SWEETY! PULL UP THEM PANTS AND PUT ON THEM UNDIES! Yish.

Hope your weekend is devoid of badly dressed "hoochy-mama's".

(PS: I finally got a chance to post some pictures of my kitty. Check em out if you get the chance!)

I love days off that consist of sun, swimming, and relaxing.

My mom is the coolest. I love when we get along. We went shopping today, and ran some errands. I don't know if I mentioned, but she's going to see Kenny Chesney with me in July (we got 4th row PIT tickets!). We went to Cappel's to look for stuff for my sister's wedding,...
