I'm back after a week on the road and 2800 miles sliding along the highways down to New Orleans for Mardis Gras. Along the way I had a chance to do some photos of Ladytron in Columbus Ohio, and found some interesting little places on a snowy night in Wheeling WVA to pass some time. I love to find these suprising little towns that have so much character. Will have to go back to these towns for a longer stay next time... While in New Orleans I indulged in all I could within the few days we were there. Highlights being... D'jour, Dragons Den/Siam, Floras, Coops, Separators, Miss Molly, Mr. Quintron's amazing show at the Matador!, Lundi Gras on Frenchmen, Mother in Law Lounge for a burbon and coke, J.k. Potter and his soon to be bride, listing to the old tunes from the man in the red stripes and top hat, Barristers gallery.... the list could go on and on... I tried to side step all the burbon street puke, piss and tits and spend most of my my time on the river side, or up in the old magazine street hood. It is really the only town that feels like home to me, and I wish I could have stayed a few months just walking the streets and swimming in it's "light and magic". Its a town that has been the back drop to some of the best and worst times of my life. Gravity always has a way to pull me back down there. It's a love hate type relationship, and I can't wait til the next round...
