Wow - the things a guy can learn in just a few days here on SG!
First thing I've learned:
1) This is a supportive community that's much more than "look at the pretty pictures." Members are wonderful about giving feedback, making suggestions, and lending a guiding hand to help newbies navigate and get the most out of the SG experience. I'm almost choked up....
2) In reference to the feedback I referred to above, I've learned that overtly shopping myself as a photographer, while good-intentioned, is dangerous. SG has to maintain professionalism and make sure that there is no confusion about who is an 'official' SG photographer for the sake of this site's rep. It's completely understandable since this site isn't like OMP or ModMay where only photogs and models are present to network with each other.
3) I learned that shooting SG submission sets is a blast! Up to this point I've shot sets that were more geared toward trying to find a select few shots to edit, post, print, and be proud of. But for some reason, just the thought that "we've gotta make EVERY shot great helped raise my bar.
I had a great - nay... GREAT! - shoot yesterday that will be submitted to SG in the very near future. (please keep all of your body parts crossed for us!) I loved it and want to do more of them. The model, Vein, was fun, expressive, and liked being shot on a dentist's chair. Hell, who wouldn't, right?! We got stuff that I can easily use as stand-alone shots on my website or OMP or ModelMayhem, and the set is pretty solid too.... now the big mystery: what the heck does SG really look at when accepting submissions?! Does anyone know? Anyone? Bueller? Bueller? Bueller?
4) I've discovered the groups which are uber-cool! And there's one for Milwaukeans like myselft! Yeaaaaaaa.
5) I've found that just bouncing from page to page is fun. There are many-a-treasure hidden just beneath the surface of the sandy beaches that are all of our profiles. Mmmmmm... lost treasure {homer gargle sound here}
6) Incredibly long journal entries get old and I doubt anyone will get to this last point. I can live with that because it's a nice clearinghouse for my brain regardless of who reads it. I'm a happy as a monkey, a pirate, a pig, and a puking guy all lined up in a row!
Cheerio good neighbors

Do you know the whole process? The SG hopeful has to have been preapproved and have a model #. Nudity should start in the first third of the set. "Bare breasts and bums are a must."
Hang out for a week or so, especially in the hopefuls group, and you'll catch all the specs.
I do not know how to make love the bruce campbell way.. i got sidetracked by Harry Potter, and have not finsihed the book yet! But seeming him was AWESOME and I couldn't even hardly talk!
