About three months ago my youngest, who is 11, was using my laptop while I was out at work. The "o" key popped off & she panicked. She was under her father's care at the time & because she's terrified of his over reaction to things she used Gorilla Glue to glue the key back on which,of course didn't work but practically ruined the "o". I was still able to use the key by ripping of the key cover and hitting the little plastic nubbin thing underneath.
WELL, last night while I slept S0ME0NE crept into the house & tore off the nubbin thing. I am now cutting & pasting the "o". My laptop is 2 years old & I don't know it it's worth it to replace the keyboard or wait until 0ctober or so until I save enough to buy a new one.
I am so tired of my kids not respecting my things!!! After I found out abt the "o" I went to use my headphones, which to me are expensive, and they are broken too.
Please don't tell me to not allow my kids to use my things because they D0N'T have my permission but when I'm not at home & even s0metimes when I am they just take them.
I really just wanted a relaxing day t0day. It's my first day 0ff in 20 days but I w0ke up t0 this shit. PLUS the teen cast 0f a sh0w I am directing are S0 gawd awful I have t0 call a rehearsal t0m0rr0w. T0M0RR0W! & they had the nerve t0 bitch ab0ut it. They're the 0nes wh0 d0n't kn0w their lines.
YES I kn0w, "I'm alive!" and that's all I sh0uld f0cus 0n but 0n days like this..y0u just want a little...PEACE

I don't even know what to say about your kids disrespecting your stuff. That's just a serious bummer. Other than locking things up in a safe, I'm not sure there's much to do other than just keep sending the same message you've always been. I have a friend right now with a 13 year old son who's kind of doing the same thing. I guess just close your eyes and wait until they move out.
