ok so ew
does anyone else have or ever had bed bugs?!

we got a brand new mattress and box spring...a lovely one...from Sleepy's in September when we moved here...
and we noticed some weird marks on our bodies...rashes..that we thought were from our body wash..so we kept changing it

lo and behold i read and see on the news that a bed bug epidemic is occuring in nyc...and bingo...our bed was infested...not as majorly as i've seen on some websites..but bad enough.. puke

we washed the all the linens and vaccuumed out the mattress and box spring..but i dont think we got rid of themfrown
i have enough stress ...now the only time i really relax..when i'm sleeping...i can't even relax

from what i've read i think we might have to get an exterminator...
never in my life have i ever had a bed bug problem ..sigh

HELP!

that fucking sucks. I'm trying to think, i watched a documentary on PBS once about allergens and they had a huge thing about both dust mites and bed bugs.

I think there was a better way to get rid of bedbugs than just vacuuming them. I wish i could remember whatever

Also, as you probably already know, people aren't actually allergic to dust; they're allergive to dust mites. A scientist (batman's a scientist) did an experiment to find out if vaccuuming actually gets rid of dustmites.

He found that vacuuming actually makes things worse. Along with dust mites are another form of mite in your home. These predator mites eat dust mites. Dustmites latch on deep to the tiny fibers of your carpet, and due to the structure of their legs aren't easily removed. Vacuuming acutally sucks up all the predator mites leaving the dustmites free to live without any predator in the environment. Nature is so cool.
