Captain America, Superman, even our friendly neighborhood Spiderman all run around advertising the good ol' U.S. of A. This upset me.
So it turns out black widows are not quite as lethal as they let on to be. Sure they can take down the opposite sex, some grasshoppers and other six to eight legged creatures. But I am still standing!!!...my leg hurts though...like I got kicked in the shin by a four year old...with steel toed boots on.

yeah, black widows bites are very rarely fatal. Brown recluses are worse, but still usually very treatable. Sorry about the bite though, that's gotta smart.

We had one in our mailbox. It was a male, but I promptly ground it to dust in the road.
