i just got back from pittsburgh. and guess what a silly coincidence this is!!! one of the friends i went out there to see is a sg member! how crazy is that? i really had no idea.
awesome things i got to do in pittsburgh:
-hang out with invaderkim AND meet her boyfriend. sg is one big extended family of loooove.
-go to the national aviary.
-go to the old mattress factory which is full of modern art.
-see the fabulous 'strip' where all the cool kids go drinking.
-go to tom savini's HOUSE OF TERROR, in which one of the demons screamed at me, "hey redhead! nice face! it's going to look really good hanging up on my wall later." that reminded me a lot of new york. and then there was this vertigo-inducing walk through a spinning tube in which i very nearly died despite being completely sober.
-get a sneak preview of 'gas ain't ironing, the musical.'
-romp through the Andy Warhol museum on monday, when it was CLOSED. GASP. [shades of 'the mixed up files of ms. basil e. frankweiler'.]
-star in a commercial for the new breakfast cereal 'PENTAGRAHAMS,' in which i ingested a large quantity of fake blood and sustained the second worse hangover of my life.
the trip was worth the nearly 20 hours i spent on the greyhound bus twice over. rad.
oh AND strawberry switchblade rules. and so does john allen.

Re: Uzumaki - I only know of the film's existence because of Tak - but I'm a big fan of the (translated) manga. DYING to see the movie!!!!
Seen the Ring remake yet? I'm curious, but skeptical...
