Yesterday was a tough day. Went to Teske's Germania for the Euro 08 Final. The best place around here to watch it, really the only traditional German bar/restaurant, and the first place we decided to watch the game if and when Germany made the finals.
They did, we went, and at 10:30am I had the first liter of Spaten Oktoberfest. The game started at 11:45, and at that time I was on liter #2. Food cam out right as halftime started, and at that time I was on liter #3. A fourth liter in the second half, followed up by a nice shot of Jagertee, and I was out.
Got home at around I-have-no-idea and sat down to watch tv, but soon had to "gracefully dart" (pronounced stumble like a jackass) to the bathroom to... Well, you know. It had been a loooong time since I've done that, but the day was well worth the evening price. I passed out hugging the Jon, and woke up at 12:30am, still hugging said Jon.
Needless to say, 5am this morning was not a happy and comfortable time in my life. I had already slept for (I think) about 10 hours, but I in no way wanted to be conscious. I did everything I could to go back to sleep, but it just didn't happen.
And now it's 10:25, and I feel much better. Pretty much back to normal, not counting a couple small factors I won't get into here.
As for the game, it wasn't much of one. Germany played not-so-great, and thusly didn't get much of a chance to score. Spain controlled the game form the start, and deserved the win, hands down. I said it at the start of the whole tourney, I'm routing for Germany, but I won't be disappointed if Spain takes it. They deserve it.
And they did.
